OKAY, IT'S TIME FOR OUTSIDE WEATHER

So yet another week has passed of being trapped inside the house with a 19 month. A 19 month old who is picking up on every little thing you do - but not say thankfully ; )

Ben can now open the "childproof" locks on the bathroom drawers...great.














We have outlet covers on every socket, which is fine in most homes with toddlers, but not ours. Now we need an invention to keep what is plugged in, plugged in. Ben likes to pull the cord out of the wall and try to plug it back in, of course right the "let down" hits a I'm nursing Connor. No time for a picture, so sorry.

Why ride in your car when it is much more fun to climb on it?! This is partly my fault because the day before I sat him on the top as I pushed him and Claire around the house (as I mumbled to my friend "this is a bad idea, he is going to now try this himself". Sure enough:





































Thanks for visiting by the way Haley! Ben enjoyed having someone his age to play with and it was great having the company.

"The Great Elope"






Will and Cait had their long awaited "official" wedding this past weekend. They took off to Vegas 2 years ago before Will's deployment to Iraq for "The Great Elope" before he left. The rehearsal dinner was held at Ben and Susan's house with a "southern" theme. Susan did a beautiful job with all the decorations and the food was awesome-who does not like southern food?! To carry on the theme, all the Boys wore bow ties and looked so charming : )
















































Ben and Connor stayed back at the hotel with sitters. After the dinner the boys went out and then all shared a hotel room together. I think the sleeping arrangements were something like Stu, Ben and Sam got the bed (in their whitie tighties). Will got the floor and Drew managed to get the pull out couch all to himself because he was smart enough to check for one.

The wedding was held on Fort Monroe and was short and sweet (love it like that). They did the Saber Arch which is always cute to see.




















































Then the reception was back at the hotel and the party began! Totally one of the most fun reception that I have been to. Will and the brothers brought the house down the last hour when they confiscated the mic from the DJ (who did a great job) and took over. That brought lots of laughs.































Ben and Connor made their individual appearances. My parents had come up and baby sat for the day and evening since it was a three day weekend it worked out great. All except for their timing belt going out at the worst time on their trip up. Thankfully AAA took care of them and they made it just in time for all of the picture taking before the wedding.

After about 10 mins boogie-ing on the dance floor he was off to bigger and better things. He could of stayed all night and partied with the rest of the kids but grandpa came and took him. I think he was looking for wedding cake but he said that they drove that whole way to baby sit so they wanted Ben back upstairs.
I don't blame them :)

Sunday it was sadly all over and we headed back to or house. Of course made a quick stop at the outlets in Williamsburg. The best thing of all was that Connor (who is nothing like Ben was) slept the whole way home without a peep! LOVE HIM :) We were so tired we didn't do anything with my parents no cards or games so we went to bed - since we don't have TV to watch or any good movies. We got up Monday. Ben had an early meeting with a recruit and the rest of us went to a nice breakfast and then my parents headed back and I was left with the kids for another week of stay-at-home-momming.




















Thanks to Will and Cait for the great festivities and And a big thanks to my parents for driving 9+ hours to baby sit the grand kids! I love you!

WE ARE IN SERIOUS TRUBLE

FIRST: Ben climbed out of his crib this morning. Well, actually he was straddling the top railing when I stopped him from going over. Hopefully he will not remember that he accomplished this this morning and never do it again (ya right!)

He is also into everything else that he was not into before Connor. Like this:

If he is not turning the house upside down he is abusing me. Jumping on me, grabbing my hair, biting my feet, and hitting me with every object possible. Is there such a thing as PPS (parent protective services) because I would like to report him.

Connor already fits into stuff I would never have dreamed of putting Ben in this early. He eats all the time, I try to hold him off-trust me, because every feeding session is just another opportunity for Ben to beat me up.

Tonight we are off to Ft. Monroe for the long awaited "official" wedding of Will & Cait!

HERE ARE SOME PICTURES

1 MONTH & 18 MONTH CHECK-UPS

Connor had his 1 month appointment today. He is doing great and growing very quickly. Here are his numbers:
Weight: 12 lbs 2 oz (95%) He has gained 4 lbs in a month!
Height: 23 inches (90%) Grown 1.5 inches since birth
Head: 40 cm (90%)

I guess you can say he is a big baby! All he has been doing this past month is slept and ate so we are not surprised at how big he has gotten.

Ben has his 18 month appointment today (3 weeks late due to being sick). He is finally feeling all better and his lungs sound great according to the doc.
Weight: 25 lbs 11 oz (50%) Little brother is almost half way there!
Height: 32 1/2 inches (50%)
Head: 50 cm (50 %)

That is all today...I am off to fold laundry and hopefully be in bed in half an hour.

WELCOME TO TEAM FREAKLEY!

I am keeping it short and simple tonight because it is late and I know Connor is going to wake up any second!

Sadly my parents left. It was great hanging out with them and for two whole weeks! Today I was alone with the boys for only the second time and man I would do anything to have their help again! Thanks for all you did mom and dad!

We met up with the all of the Freakley brothers in Harrison and played in the mall. Little Ben had a blast riding the merry-go-round with cousin Daniel and all of his uncles:

For new years all the Freakley brothers and wives/girlfriend's (minus Drew) and a few other friends went to DC and ate at Fogo de Chao. For those of you who do not know if it you must try it. It is an all you can eat meat fest. Delicious...but $75 a person. It was a blast for all but Ben. He got a little too excited he ate too fast and got meat lodged in his esophagus after his 4th bite literally :( So he paid about 20 bucks a bite! Here is the gang:

We made it back to Stuart and Katie's about 5 mins before the ball dropped and surprisingly the little guys awoke out of the blue for the excitement and kisses...and then we could not get Ben back down until well after one o-clock.

Then back home and all doing well. Connor is still sleeping TONS and growing like crazy. Brother Ben does not forget he is in the house. No matter where I try to hide sleeping Connor from him he always finds him! He has been very sweet to him however to his parents it is another story-lots of surprise face slaps and thigh punches.

Other little bits of news:

We decided to cancel our direct TV and continue with life with out one! I am super excited. There is so much we can do at night instead of sitting on the couch. Read, work out, play games, clean, go to bed early...

Ben is going to start a blog to tell you all about our new lives without TV. I'm sure it will be entertaining!

I also made a big announcement today that I am not going back to work at the school. Yes, I am going to be a stay at home mom. It was hard to tell the school because I have loved it and everyone there (plus I was not there long). Financially it just did not make sense to keep working there and turn around to pay for day care.

Also, the biggest news yet: there is going to be a girl in the destined "boys only" Freakley Family. Stuart and Katie found out they are going to have a girl!!! Yippee :)

I guess this was not short...Connor is a sleeper what can I say!
