BEN IS THREE!

The party could not have turned out better thanks to everyone that showed up! We decided to do it at a new place in town called Monkey Joe's. One of those places with bouncy houses galore. All we had to do was bring the cake/cupcakes and show up (and pay). Tons of fun! Ben was so excited. When he woke up the morning of his birthday dad said "Ben it's your birthday!" and Ben said "We are going to Monkey Joe's!". He is nuts about the place. So here are some pictures:

MOTHER'S DAY!

To all the mom's out there especially mine! Mom you have made me who I am today, more importantly you inspire me to be more! I love you. I am so lucky to have you as MY mom and friend!

Today:

Ben and the Boys went and picked me out roses (thanks for listening babe and not ordering an arrangement!). He cleaned the house. He made me dinner 3 nights in a row. And I would have gotten my first pedicure in over a year but I passed it up for dinero towards a shirt and skort I wanted-the rest of money was birthday gift card (thanks dad!). We had a beautiful day as a family. Breakfast, church (closest we have ever been to being on time!). Lunch. FAMILY NAP!!!(totally best part of the day). Family walk to the park. Taco night and then my new home made/invented Key Lime ice cream (that I shared with a few mothers in the neighborhood). GREAT DAY! Thanks for everything my love and boys!

HOW IS BEN?

Everyone has been so sweet to call and check in on Ben after his surgery. Big thank you to everyone for the calls and the care packages for him, they really have helped make his recovery better and easier! He is doing surprisingly well. Playing and he is his normal hyper self all day. Night time has been the tough part. He has been waking up screaming like he is lost and confused/scared/in pain??? who knows. They say that being under anesthesia can affect some kids that way for about 2 weeks (lets hope it is only 2 weeks)! Although he is hyper-and the tylenol with codiene makes him even more so, you can tell his throat does hurt. He wants to drink but won't and wants to eat but does not, and then he wines because he is hungry. But I am telling you I was expecting MUCH worse. He is being super tough and still will drink and eat when he is asked. He has been back at school this week and doing well. He is  still on a soft mushy diet until Wednesday-which is getting harder and harder to stick to at times. Here are some pictures of before surgery and after surgery:

EASTER

Before I get to Easter weekend: Ben is having surgery this Wednesday the 27th. Tonsills, adenoids, and tubes in his ears. The blog has been a work in progress. I started a post last week about the surgery and never finished it.  We are so sad for him that he is about to go through this :( Poor guy.

EASTER

...Wonderful weekend, wonderful weather! Such a great weekend and so thankful that so much family was able to get together! Thank you so much to Cait for coming with Baby Will-who is cute as can be and slept or nursed the whole time and Sam for driving over, and my sister going through the trouble of what to do with her 3 kids (dogs) and of course my parents for coming! And yes, we all stayed in one house-comfortably! Greg-we missed you so much, sorry you had to work. Will, you were in our hearts and prayers-all the pictures are for you! Woodstock- I think we all were secretly thinking "man I wish we were at the cabin right now" we missed you all too...until the food rolled out! We actually put together a pretty darn good "Feaster"-just not quite as much food. The hit of the weekend was my newly created homemade Key-lime ice cream:

I think it is safe to say it is the best ice cream I have ever come up with. I might just have to do it again this week!

We finally stopped at "Thomas" after church. Ben asks every Sunday for "Thomas".
