WEEKEND UPDATE

Well, it started out as a great weekend. Wonderful afternoon drive. Dropped off Ben at the soccer tournament in Williamsburg and I headed on to Ft. Monroe with no problems from the boys, our first drive in our new car and the sun was even out. We had a great evening together, delicious dinner as always. Booter even fell asleep easier than usual with granddaddy.

Then the fun started.

It was 1:45 (we had just gone to bed only two hours prior) and Ben starts crying. I am there by myself with Connor in the same room hoping he does not wake up too. After trying to hold Ben and rock him to sleep in my arms unsuccessfully for over 30 minutes, Susan came to my rescue. I have no idea why Ben is crying so much but then he throws up, and throws up, and throws up. He does this about every hour until 8:45 in the morning. And no, he does not get tired, he does not want to sleep, he does not even act like he is sick until the next episode hit him. So here we are, the entire house up the entire night- minus Connor, he decided to sit this one out...until 5:30 in the morning! Of course of all times, he decides to pull his first "nine hour" this night. I guess it was a good thing but man it would have been nice to sleep that 5 hour stretch.

Here we are watching "Cars":

Notice the time on the DVD player:

Saturday we were all spent except for Ben (it is amazing) and can barely function. Ben did finally take a 4 hour nap and the rest of us got to relax a little. Needless to say, we did not go anywhere Saturday.

Sunday, I woke up not feeling too hot, and it all slowly started with me also. But worse, oh much worse. We were supposed to hang out in Williamsburg but ended up going back to the Freakley's until I came around. Then we drove home at eight in the evening when the boys were ready to sleep.

Today all was good with us, except Ben Sr now has it (sooo sorry!). I just hope no one else gets it, especially Connor.

RIDIN' DIRTY

Here is our new-used car!

Ben did a wonderful job researching and finally finding "the one" if I do say so myself!

It has just about everything even 9 cup holders! NINE!

BUSY BUSY

Hi guys! Man have the Freakley's been busy!

I love moving because you get to get rid of sooo much junk that just accumulates (and do we have a lot of it!). But let me tell you something you may already know but not know becuase you have not experienced it: you cannot get much done during the day with 2 kids under the age of 2. Especially pack! It is a slow ongoing process in this house...that is why I have not updated the blog in ages. Also because we have been online house hunting and car hunting - much more fun than blogging.

We have successfully gotten both accomplished this week!

I am taking my husbands word on both of them, I have not set eyes on either. That is a scary thing or a good thing that I can trust my husband after 5.5 years of marriage (and 2 kids) to get us a new place to live and a new car without my 2 cents...and you all know I can be opinionated and picky!

New home will be unit 501 in Tillman Park in Statesboro Georgia. Check out their nice web site for the floor plan. It is a condominium we are renting until our house sells...or we may just stay there. They are cute and designed to look like Rainbow Row/Charleston style homes. New and best of all; no more yard work!

As far as the new ride, it is pretty pimp so I hear. I took Bens' word on it also and told him to "go for it" as he likes to state. Ben is driving home right now it it so I will be sure to post pictures of it next week.

This weekend Ben has ODP soccer in Williamsburg so I am heading that direction as well with the boys (and new car, jejeje) and staying at his parents house...for one last time before the move. Kind of sad : (

We will be sure to take lots of pictures. Stay tuned.

Here are a few from this week:

GEORGIA ON MY MIND

So, Yes the rumor is true.

Team Freakley is packing up and heading south!

Ben got job offer to coach at our alma mater, Georgia Southern University, (where we also both played) that he/we just could not resist. We are very excited yet so sad to leave all of our friends, cute little Lexington and our awesome house....that needs to sell by the way, so if anyone is looking or knows someone who is looking send them our way!

We will be moving the first week of March and are looking forward to learning our way around again. It will be a big change for us, but one we look forward to with great anticipation. I have been offered a job as an ER nurse in Statesboro which means the boys will start daycare...good luck day care ladies.

We will let you all know when we get our new address and contact information. When you get a chance, check out Tillman Park in Statesboro GA. That is where we hope to live.

Love,

Team Freakley

ANOTHER FUN FAMILY WEEKEND!

Gotta love this snow...or at least I do.

My husbands out of town soccer was canceled, yet again, and so was this 8 hour class I was supposed to take on Sat at the hospital. By the way, when you are getting "snowed in" always send your husband to the store for the supplies. We ate it up this weekend: fire cheetoes, jalapeno chips, mint oreo cookies. jalapeno poppers, moose tracks ice cream, smoked Gouda cheese and triscuits, and of course you cannot forget the coke, TAQUITOS, and mountain dew.

We ended up not really being snowed in but still found a way to eat all that food, miraculously. Saturday morning Ben went in to listed to a Navy Seal speak to his soccer team and found the roads quite nice and Little Ben ended up doing his usual; wake up 35 mins into his nap freaking out screaming crying and wont let you touch him (hopefully it is a phase-a short one), so we all jumped into the car and went to the VMI basketball game. It was "red out" so we all wore red. Ben ran like a wild child who has been locked up for months - oh wait, he has been! It was a great time. Especially when he ran into Moe the mascot. A seven foot kangaroo. He was actually saying"boo" all whilt pointing at him each time. Aren't kids usually scared of big dressed up creatures? I know I still am. In this picture however, Ben looks a little freaked out.

We ate Mexican after the game (yes we had Mexican when we had all that delicious food at the house). Then some friends came over later to eat our food with us and to play cards.

Sunday we hung around the house cleaned some although you cannot tell, did laundry but none is folded and we have an even bigger mess now. Then since it is so cold out decided to bring the snow inside to Ben so he can play with it...also copied my friend and made snow cream. I'm am from the south and never heard of such a thing! Sure enough, there is such a thing. Paula Dean even has a recipe for it!...but it is missing butter.

Oh, and of course it was Super Bowl Sunday so we went to Matt an Jenny's house and watched none of the game chasing Ben around and eating. I think Connor got to see most of it. But we had a great time. They had really cool cat toys for Ben to play with-the laser was a hit. An automatic vacuum for Ben to follow around, and a cool trash can to open and close.

CONNOR 2 MONTH CHECK-UP

Connor turned 2 months old on the 2nd of Feb. He is doing great. Eating well and sleeping well. He would sleep even more if his little brother wouldn't harass him all the time! He is the complete opposite from how Ben was when he was a baby. Ben needed to be stimulated all the time and entertained, he wouldn't even let you sit down with him (explains why he is how he is now!). But Connor is perfectly content just chillin' in his bouncy chair. Tonight he did it almost for an hour while I cooked dinner and fed Ben. It is so nice to have a baby like this! It is super easy to get him to smile. You can just look away and then look at him again and he will give you a big one. It also appears that he is going to have hazel/grey blue eyes. Not the striking black eyes like his brother that everyone comments on.

Connor's stats:
Weight: 14 lbs 4 oz. 90th% (Ben was 12 2)
Height: 24 1/2 inches. 90th% (Ben 24)
Head: 85th%

He does have a fairly significant umbilical hernia that has developed this past month (it can be seen in some pictures on shutterfly). The pediatrician did refer him to a pediatric surgeon today (same one who did Wee Ben's for his pyloric stenosis), but they won't see him until he is one unless it causes problems before then because most of the time they correct themselves and they don't want to do surgery for no reason. So we will just have to wait and pray that our second child will not have to have a surgery also!

And some pictures of Connor:
